Covid Safe Tour

Here at VéloRoo, we are committed to do everything in our power to provide a Covid Safe tour.

In Australia, we encourage you to download and use the government COVIDSafe App which assists in finding people who have been in close contact with someone with COVID-19.

The great thing is, the VeloRoo style of cycling holiday is already perfectly suited to providing a Covid safe environment!

That’s because our style is

  • small group specialists – we always have been!
  • always avoid the crowded tourist spots in favour of the quieter hidden gems
  • always enjoy exploring the space and tranquility of the open countryside by bike
  • always stay in smaller family run accommodation, not a big hotel chain. And now, more than ever, they pride themselves on the cleanliness of their properties.
  • always dine at small family run restaurants who pride themselves not only on the quality of their local food but the safe and clean environments in which they work. We don’t go to the crowded tourist trap cafes.
Covid Clean Practices
  • Pre-tour Health Questionnaire
  • Symptom Free Policy – each day we will ask if you are showing any symptoms including fever, dry cough, sore throat, shortness of breath and we may also do temperature checks. Anyone showing possible symptoms will not be able to join the tour to ensure the health and safety of others.
  • All accommodation / transport / cafe partners that we use also have the COVID Clean Practising Business accreditation
  • Hand sanitiser will be available
  • Social distancing guidelines will be followed. Keep a safe physical distance between yourself and other people.
  • When you meet us and other guests, don’t shake hands or hug—try a no-contact greeting instead.

So don’t stop dreaming about that cycling holiday. Here at VeloRoo – Live, Laugh, Ride Cycling Holidays – we are looking forward to showing you our favourite cycling gems, sometime in the not too distant future.

A word from our clients

Best Part of Our Trip. I am not a big reviewer of organizations, esp if they are not five stars. In this case, writing a favorable review may not just be a nice thing to do but mandatory. Any of you out there who enjoy riding, amiable company, and crazy beautiful French countryside need to cycle with Steve. While there were many things about our trip that were fantastic (it is France, after all), our half-day ride with VeloRoo made the top of the list of things to do -- and do again, I hope.Took Guided Day Rides in France in Aug 2017
I was luckily enough recently to have a few days in Noosa (glad to live on the QLD side of the boarder!). I have been there before and even taken my bike so I could explore the surrounding hinterland. However, this time I decided to take a guided tour with VeloRoo as I wanted someone who knew the area and the best bike friendly roads (rather than me trying to wing it and getting lost and not really getting the most of the time I had). I am so pleased I did. VeloRoo looked after me all the way; from our start at Noosa beach (blue sky, white sand, rolling waves – almost didn’t want to leave but glad we did) to our finish point back at my hotel. We were blessed by a magnificent warm winter morning (sorry southerners) and not much traffic getting out of Noosa and into the hills. The roads were smooth, the scenery sublime and Steve provided a running commentary of the history and interesting facts of the area we were riding through which made this more than just a ride in the hills. All the while the VeloRoo ‘support wagon’ followed us in case we needed anything. If you love to ride and are lucky enough to be in the Sunshine Coast area of Queensland, I recommend getting the Veloroo team to guide you. You could try and navigate your own way – I have done this before – however having someone know the best routes based on your riding ability and what is happening in the area was invaluable.Took in Sept 2020
