1 Roo:
I’m relatively fit and comfortable on the bike and happiest on mild gradients or the flat.

2 Roo’s:
Fitness and health is my life. I ride regularly on a weekly basis with mates and am comfortable with rides of around 4 hours at a relatively strong pace.

3 Roo’s:
Riding is my life! I’m not interested in racing, I don’t need to prove anything to anyone. I love the challenge and the idea of where my legs and bike can take me. My friends and I are always looking for the next cycling adventure.

  • On a VeloRoo-ber day trip we offer transport for you and your bike to get out and about and do something different!

    The price includes transfers from the designated meeting point in Brisbane (Australia) out to the start point of the ride and transfers back from the end point of the ride to our meet point in Brisbane.

    You will need to bring your own water, nutrition, spare tubes etc

    Don’t have a suitable bike for gravel ? – contact us to arrange bike hire.

    Interested in a multi-day gravel adventure tour? We include transfers from Brisbane, accommodation, meals and guided rides with vehicle support. Check out our South Burnett Adventure Weekend or our Gourmet Granite Belt Adventure.

  • We have 3 options for your Brisbane Valley Rail Trail (BVRT) experience.

    Central CBD meet point (or home collection may be available for an extra fee) We transfer you and your bike out to the start point of the ride. Feel free to ride ahead at your own pace or Steve will ride with you , pointing out great photo opportunities or any tricky spots along the way. After you’ve had lunch, Julia will be waiting at the end point with the minibus and trailer for the transfers back to Brisbane.

    We have a minimum number of 6 people to run the day trip. But don’t worry, if the trip doesn’t fill we will be able to move your reservation to another trip date. We will notify everyone as soon as we are confirmed. In the event of predicted bad weather, we reserve the right to move the trip to a future date. We want you to enjoy the experience!

    • Ride Esk to Fernvale 44km

      • 6am meet up in Brisbane / Newstead area (TBA) – leave by 6:30am
      • Brisbane to Esk shuttle 1hr 20 min
      • approx 8am Ride Esk to Fernvale 44km (allow 3-4hrs)
      • Depart Fernvale 1pm (or earlier if the group is ready) return shuttle 50 min.
      • Return to Brisbane by approx 2pm

    • Ride Moore to Esk 45km

      • 6am meet up in Brisbane / Newstead area (TBA) – leave by 6:30am
      • Brisbane to Moore shuttle 1hr 45 min
      • approx 8:45am Ride Moore to Esk 45km (allow 3-4hrs)
      • Depart Esk 1:30pm (or earlier if the group is ready) return shuttle 1hr 20min.
      • Return to Brisbane by approx 3pm

    • Ride Yarraman to Esk 48km

      • 5:45am meet up in Brisbane / Newstead area (TBA) – leave by 6:15am
      • Brisbane to Yarraman shuttle 1hr 45 min
      • approx 9am Ride Yarraman to Moore 49km (allow 3-4hrs)
      • Depart Moore 2pm (or earlier if the group is ready) return shuttle 1hr 45min.
      • Return to Brisbane by approx 4pm

Fabulous Weekend in South Burnett
Wow what can I say?
My husband and I together with a group of friends spent a weekend with VéloRoo at Kingaroy exploring the beautiful region by gravel and e-bike. I had no idea the South Burnett was so beautiful. Rolling green hills with views in all directions as far as the eye can see.

Steve provided lots of encouragement, local knowledge and jokes along the amazing gravel and paved roads while Julia’s support in the VéloRoo van with water and snacks was fantastic. It allowed some of us to travel section in the van when it got a bit hilly. We had a most enjoyable weekend with great rides, food and meeting new friends.

We have travelled with VéloRoo before and this Australian tour had all the same delights that Steve and Julia offer in France. We’ll definitely be back again!

brilliant long weekend trip with mates and VeloRoo. From pickup to drop-off everything went incredibly smoothly. Not having to think about hotels, transport, logistics and just enjoy the country roads and tracks is the best way to go riding. Steve's connection to regional groups gave us access to little known back roads. I would strongly recommend going with VeloRoo

Next level gravel riding experience with an expert team!
I had done gravel riding the BVR trails but this was an experience on a different level.
A guided tour with a professional crew and guided by Steve. Steve's tour around Nanango and East Nanango were just impressive. A ride along is one thing but riding with VeloRoo is a whole different experience, it was entertaining, educational and an awesome gravel experience!.

Great gravel trail experience
Well organised with good trails, catering for all levels of ability. Good fund times with a few bevvys in the evening. Just wished I had less red wine before Day1!! Did the Kingaroy gravel trails and joined the local club on the last day. Would definitely do it again

Fantastic Gravel Tour with friends & VeloRoo
What a fantastic tour organised by Steve and Julia, this was my first tour with VeloRoo and I enjoyed every part of it, on the bike and off the bike. The enthusiasm from Steve on the ride was so infectious! Plus having some of the local residents ride with us was even more interesting for me as we heard about some of the history and local area knowledge.

I’m already waiting to sign up to the next organised event!

Gravel Bliss - Thank you VeloRoo for a fabulous cycling experience in the South Burnett.
Great company, blue skies, smooth gently undulating gravel roads without a vehicle in sight (apart from the VeloRoo-ber); country charm, Jacarandas & paper daisies in bloom with wood fired pizza & wine to finish off.

I had the pleasure of joining Velo Roo's Steve & Julia this past weekend for some gravel goodness around Nanango, QLD. It was my first time on a guided ride and the experience was excellent.
I'm a bit slower than most on the hills, but Steve was very encouraging and helpful along the way, which made me feel welcome. The group was always "re-grouped" after the climbs with plenty of rest breaks to take in the spectacular scenery.
I highly recommend Velo Roo escorted tours for novice and veteran cyclists alike!

South Burnett Gravel Adventure - We have just had a fabulous weekend "kykling" around Kingaroy and Nanango with Steve and Julia.
As always, S and J are amazing. They are super friendly and offer organised and unique itineraries that you don't find anywhere else.
Highly recommended if you want to do some solid riding (or not, up to you) and also want to disconnect and leave the KOMs and QOMs at home.
