Granite Belt Gourmet Gravel Adventure
Food, Wine & Cycling
I’m relatively fit and comfortable on the bike and happiest on mild gradients or the flat.
I regularly ride for fitness, dry days I ride to work, and weekend fun with friends. I enjoy an active healthy lifestyle and occasional physical challenges.
Fitness and health is my life. I ride regularly on a weekly basis with mates and am comfortable with rides of around 4 hours at a relatively strong pace.
I ride on average 250 + k’s a week and enjoy a 100k rides on the weekends. I love to train, improve, and sometimes challenge amongst my friends.
Riding is my life! I’m not interested in racing, I don’t need to prove anything to anyone. I love the challenge and the idea of where my legs and bike can take me. My friends and I are always looking for the next cycling adventure.
Live one magical moment at a time on this 3 day Granite Belt experience, centred around Stanthorpe.

Granite Belt Food, Wine, Cycling Adventure Tour – Day by Day
Routes, itineraries, meals & accommodation are all hand picked by us for your enjoyment.
Day 1: Welcome to the Granite Belt
17km – 217m Elevation Gain
After our transfers from Brisbane (collection also available from Toowoomba) we arrive and unpack at your luxury cabin set amongst the vineyards of Ridgemill Estate.
Following our picturesque introductory ride to the area, get to know your fellow VeloRoovians during our exclusive “behind the scenes” experience with the winemaker. Taste unreleased vintages, barrel samples and premium wines and learn about Strangebird alternatives. Complimented by local cheeses and gourmet treats.
Day 2: The Big Day
85km – 1100m Elevation Gain (shortcut option 66km – 800m Elevation Gain)
We love this ride. You’ll feel a million miles away from city life. The big numbers we aim for are “Smiles per hour”. It’s a 50/50 mix of lightly trafficked bitumen roads and quiet gravel back roads, riding through timbered grazing country, agricultural patchwork and past impressive Granite boulders.
Day 3: Truffles & a wine lunch - oh and a ride
40km – 376m Elevation Gain
On the first part of our ride we will unearth all that is truffles with a talk and tasting of some amazing truffle products. We ride through many acres of produce including the famous Stanthorpe apple and along part of the Qld Rabbit Proof fence.
What better way to finish off your gourmet getaway than a Vine & Dine lunch. Meet the chef, sommelier and viticulturist with a guided vineyard walk & talk followed by a 5 course paired wine lunch.

What sort of cycling experience do I need?
VéloRoo Adventures are not about setting the fastest time, but having the best time!
Smiles per hour is what we chase 🙂
If you are comfortable and have some experience riding in a group, you’ll be fine. Our adventure peloton sizes range from around 8 – 12 people. If you’re not sure about your level, just give us call and Steve can have a chat to you and even organise a local Brisbane ride together before hand.
You need to be comfortable riding 50 – 70 km in a day.
There’s no mountain biking rocks and jumps, but by their nature, unpaved roads can offer soft or loose gravelly sections or areas that may have some slight erosion after seasonal weather.
What sort of bike do I need?
You will need something that can handle dirt and gravel roads: a Gravel Bike, Mountain Bike or Electric Mountain Bike. Give us a call to discuss the suitability of your bike if you are unsure.
Need a Bike? – Bike Hire – can be arranged at an additional charge including an e-bike option
