Occitanie (previously known as the Languedoc) is an undiscovered cyclists’ paradise. In this area of Southern France our roads remain quiet and our villages are authentic and unspoilt. It’s not the glitz and glamour of Provence and that’s exactly why we love it!
We will guide you through our beautiful Occitanie region on cycling routes taking in quiet country roads, picturesque scenery, beautiful vineyards and of course fabulous food and wine! You will make new friends and memories that will last a lifetime.
Generally on our tours we will ride approx 50 – 60 km’s per day (in the morning) with a moderate level of riding with each day themed to take in a different aspect of the region. Our carefully chosen itineraries combine cycling, sightseeing and sharing our favourite cafes and stops to make each day a memorable experience.
No need to worry about where to stay, where to eat and what to see. We do it all for you!
For those that love climbing, longer distances or a challenge, we have our VéloRoo-niversity Tours based locally or 2 trips a year to the Pyrénées!
VéloRoo is our passion. We are avid cyclists and we do everything based on maximising the pure joy of cycling in the South of France. The Occitanie and Hérault in particular is an amazingly diverse destination and has so much to offer. It is our own back yard and the roads that our tours travel are our favourites, the VéloRoo team ride them regularly and know them so well.
VéloRoo base our Occitanie cycling group in the one central location and ride out to different areas each day so there is no need to pack and unpack. Our accommodation is personally chosen to provide you with the comforts of home combined with the luxuries of being on holiday.
Let your artistic juices flow in a mornings art class and take home your own little piece of France.
Unleash your creative flair in a silver jewellery workshop and create a piece that will always hold fond memories of your holiday in the South of France.
Experience French cooking, starting with a market visit through to creating a fabulous French meal.
AND you still have each days afternoon activities to experience WITH your cycling partner. We do walks through local villages, wine tasting and visit scenic lookouts.
Our guided bike tour groups have approx 8 guests to ensure personal attention and flexibility. If you have a large group of friends wanting to come on tour, contact us and we will be able to customise a tour to best suit your group.

We are an Australian couple and cycling enthusiasts who came to our first Tour de France in 2007. We quickly fell in love with the area and have been coming back each year since. In 2009 we bought a little medieval house in St Genies de Fontedit – and in 2011 we were lucky enough to have the Tour de France go right past our front door! Our love of cycling and our love of the Languedoc region as cycling heaven led us to establish our cycling tour and hire business VéloRoo. We look forward to sharing with you all that we have discovered and have come to love in this awesome cycling region we live in.
We look forward to showing you around!
